About Lower Moreland Mini-THON:

Four Diamonds Mini-THONs are interactive events for students of all ages that inspire teamwork, leadership and creativity, while empowering youth and young adults through philanthropy and community service in the fight to conquer childhood cancer. Mini-THONs are modeled after the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) and have been making a difference in the lives of childhood cancer patients and their families since 1993.
With more than 90,000 student volunteers and 283 schools in eight states (and counting!), Mini-THONs are bringing hope to families in need and giving back to their community. During the 2022-23 school year, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools raised more than $6.4 million for Four Diamonds.
Lower Moreland's Mini-THON consists of 12 consecutive hours during which students may not sit, squat, or kneel; they may only stand, dance, and participate in numerous competitions and activities organized for them throughout the day.
Last year, Lower Moreland High School was able to host an in-person Mini-THON. Through dedication, time, and effort from the students, they were able to push against all odds, breaking 2021’s total and even topping all years with a grand total of $203,497.08!
